Candidates for military service in Quang Binh are ready to pass the exam.

On the afternoon of June 26, more than 1 million candidates nationwide taking the 2024 high school graduation exam completed exam registration procedures and listened to the exam regulations. In Quang Binh, more than 11,200 candidates were distributed to 30 exam locations with 495 exam rooms, 30 spare rooms, and 20 exam waiting rooms.

Ready for the exam

At the exam site of Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province), candidate Nguyen Van Cuoi (born in 2004, a conscript currently training at the Mobile Police Department - Quang Binh Provincial Police) said he was ready for this year's exam.

In 2023, Van Cuoi took the exam to enter the People's Police Academy , but luck did not smile on him. Cuoi was determined to change his wishes and retake the exam to enter the People's Police Academy. This year, Van Cuoi took the exam group C03 with Math, Literature, History combined with C00 with Literature, History, Geography to consider intermediate level.

Candidate Van Cuoi is quite confident about his review process: "I review all subjects in parallel, everything is quite good. Besides, I am worried about the geometry part of math, because there are many difficult problems that I am not sure about.

This year, I predict that the Literature exam will be about the work "Dat Nuoc" by author Nguyen Khoa Diem, however, I will still review both poetry and prose to be more sure."

Van Cuoi jokingly said that to prepare for this year's exam, the "spiritual strategy" applied was to burn incense for his ancestors, praying for them to help Cuoi stay calm and confident to complete his exam well.

Meanwhile, candidate Ta Minh Tuan (born in 1997), a volunteer soldier at the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Quang Binh Provincial Police, said that Tuan's work unit has always created conditions for him to both perform his duties and review during the past time.

Candidate Minh Tuan added that he had planned to review his lessons last year. During the day, Tuan trained and inspected vehicles, and at night, he took advantage of his free time to review his lessons.

This year, among more than 11,200 candidates registered for the exam in Quang Binh province, there are 10,861 candidates studying in grade 12 (accounting for 96.43%) and 402 candidates are independent candidates; 9,322 candidates take the exam to graduate and register for university and college admission (accounting for 82.76%); 1,608 candidates take the exam only to graduate (accounting for 14.27%); 333 candidates take the exam only to register for university and college admission (accounting for 2.95%).

The expected number of personnel participating in the exam stages is more than 2,000 officials, teachers and employees.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will officially take place from June 27 with the Literature exam lasting 120 minutes.

In the afternoon of the same day, candidates continued to take the Math exam. On June 28, in the morning, candidates took the Social Science or Natural Science exam, and in the afternoon, they took the Foreign Language exam.
