Having worked as a worker but quitting in mid-2022 due to the company's difficulties, Dinh Huy Thanh (Nho Quan district) switched to vocational training. In early 2023, Thanh got married and his wife was about to give birth, so his economic life was difficult. In order to have the conditions to take care of his wife who was about to give birth, Thanh applied for a job at the job fair held in early September. As soon as he saw the recruitment needs of MC NexVina Co., Ltd. (Phuc Son Industrial Park) - where he used to work, Thanh did not hesitate to ask for the opportunity to be interviewed.
"I used to work in the inspection department of MC NexVina Co., Ltd., but had to quit because the company had difficulty finding orders. Surprisingly, after a short period of time, the company has had a strong recovery and has opened up job opportunities for workers. I am already familiar with the work, so I will ask for an interview to have the opportunity to work here. All the company's benefits are quite good, I am willing to stick with the company for a long time" - Mr. Thanh said.
A representative of MC NexVina Co., Ltd. said: 2022 is a difficult year for the company due to the shrinking international market. Lack of orders, many workers are subject to layoffs. However, the situation has improved significantly since entering 2023, especially since mid-2023 until now, the company has restored production, has a need to recruit a large number of workers to compensate for the shortage of workers, and at the same time meet the needs of expanding production and business.
In the job fair organized by the Provincial Employment Service Center, MC NexVina Co., Ltd. brought dozens of high-quality labor recruitment targets such as: Korean interpreter, programmer, machine tool designer, circuit designer... and especially 200 targets for production worker positions with not strict requirements. However, recruiting labor is not easy. The recovery of many manufacturing industries and occupations has created certain difficulties for labor competition.
Currently, Phoneix Garment Company (Tam Diep Industrial Park) has nearly 1,000 employees. Although the difficult period has not yet passed, the company has made many efforts to increase orders, ensuring jobs for employees with an income of 6-7 million VND/month.
Ms. Le Thi Thu, Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, said: The number of exported goods in the first 6 months of 2022 was about 4.2 million products. But in the first 6 months of 2023, this number was only over 2.4 million products, down 43.7% compared to the same period last year. Although the number of orders has decreased significantly, the company still tries to implement many synchronous solutions to maintain 8-hour work days for workers.
Accordingly, the company has accepted all orders, including unprofitable ones; minimized and cut down all costs not related to production or employee benefits.
Therefore, 100% of employees are guaranteed 8 hours of work per day. In fact, in the third quarter of 2023, the company plans to recruit more workers to meet the progress of new orders.

After several months of suspending production and laying off workers due to lack of orders, Thien Ha Garment Export Company Limited in Gia Hoa Commune (Gia Vien District) has now begun to resume production for new orders. However, production is still not possible due to a paradox… difficulty in finding workers.
Ms. Pham Thi Ha, Director of Thien Ha Garment Export Company Limited, said: The company has been operating since 2019, creating jobs for nearly 200 local workers. The company's export market is the US.
In recent years, despite the impact of COVID-19, the company's production and business situation has remained stable, with the peak being 250,000 products exported per month, and workers earning a salary of 6-8 million VND per month. However, from the end of 2022, production began to face difficulties when orders decreased sharply, and workers had to reduce working hours.
Entering 2023, the production situation is really more difficult, the amount of exported products decreased by 60% compared to before. The company had to temporarily lay off all workers because there were no more orders. However, when the difficulties temporarily passed and orders returned, workers found new jobs or changed careers. Unable to recruit workers, the company had to continue to temporarily suspend production.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Vice President of Gia Vien District Labor Federation, said: Through a survey from the beginning of 2023 on units and enterprises managed by the District Labor Federation, about 400 workers from 3 garment companies, namely Gia Phu Export Garment Company Limited, Thien Ha Export Garment Company Limited and Trung Thanh Garment Company Limited, lost their jobs because the enterprises could not sign orders. In this situation, the District Labor Federation has increased coordination, connection, and job referrals for workers to enterprises that need to recruit more workers.
Since the beginning of 2023, through the "channel" of the District Labor Federation, nearly 300 workers have found new jobs, the remaining workers have had suitable job transfers. Therefore, the re-recruitment of workers by businesses when production is restored is also less difficult.
Currently, the province has over 6,200 registered businesses with over 170,000 employees. In recent times, with many proactive and flexible measures taken by businesses and support policies from the State and the province, although there are still many difficulties and challenges, many businesses are on the way to recovering production and business. The labor market has therefore seen many improvements.
Labor demand tends to be differentiated by production and business sector, depending on the development of the domestic and foreign economy. The group of sectors with high recruitment demand belongs to the tourism and service sectors. Export sectors that have faced difficulties such as garment, leather shoes, etc. are also having positive changes.
Since the beginning of 2023, the province has estimated to have created jobs for over 14,000 workers. Of these, hundreds of unemployed workers have been counseled and introduced to new jobs. Having stable jobs and incomes has improved the quality of life for workers, making an important contribution to ensuring social security in the area.
