Why have hypocrisy and hypocrites not been exposed? It can be affirmed that in many agencies, hypocrites in general cannot be hidden. Many people know about it but do not fight, or do not dare to fight against hypocrisy, and even tolerate it. Because, basically, those hypocrites are in the group of influential people, those with power over the rest of the group in the agency or locality. Therefore, those without power develop a mentality of fear, indifference, fear of collision, or fear of collision. It is the weakness and lack of courage of many people that has created an environment, a living ground for the hypocrisy of some officials with power to develop more and more.

How to eliminate hypocrites in organizations?

As presented above, the underlying cause of hypocrisy among some cadres and party members today is individualism. To eradicate hypocrisy, it is imperative to fight uncompromisingly against individualism. Only in this way can hypocrisy be fought from the root. To cover up this behavior, those who “have some power in the political system” often have to wear a hypocritical face to continue to evade and profit. These people, initially had good moral qualities, a clean and healthy lifestyle, and had motives. However, when they had a little power in their hands, they could not stop their greed, so they found every way to plunder and benefit themselves and their families. Their greed and desire were so great that they lost themselves. They fell into moral and lifestyle degradation, deceived organizations and individuals, found every way to embezzle, corrupt, satisfy base desires, forgot noble ideals, lessons of revolutionary ethics, forgot their duty as public servants to the people, forgot their promises to the Party, to the people, comradeship, compatriotism, forgot the countless people who were striving, working, fighting, and producing so that the country could have the position and potential it has today.

The root of a revolutionary cadre is revolutionary morality.

Nowadays, many cadres have strayed from the core values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology. They have forgotten the root of a revolutionary cadre, which is revolutionary morality. They have forgotten Uncle Ho's teaching that revolutionary morality does not fall from the sky, but is achieved through persistent cultivation and training. They have forgotten daily training, forgotten the good virtues of diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, etc., only caring about personal enrichment, filling their pockets, building many houses, living lavishly, and distancing themselves from the masses. Most dangerously, some officials, when they have positions and power, and are in charge of agencies and localities at different levels, begin to use hypocrisy, flowery words, empty knowledge, and unrealistic stories to cover up their illegal schemes, build teams to do illegal business, embezzle, commit corruption, accept bribes, promote the wrong people, and appoint the wrong positions... leading to the statistics from the Central Inspection Commission on the situation of officials violating discipline and degrading themselves becoming more and more numerous.

It can be affirmed that among a number of cadres and party members in the political system, there are still many people who practice hypocrisy. These are acts of using an external moral cover to conceal the opportunistic nature inside, abusing power, deceiving individuals and groups, abusing power, and abetting wrongdoings for personal gain. This is extremely dangerous. The victory of the renovation process cannot be separated from the victory of the struggle to eliminate individualism and bad habits of party members and cadres. Fighting hypocrisy has become an urgent issue in Party building and rectification.

Reality shows that, in any era, if cadres and party members always set an example, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly perform their duties, tell the people, make them understand, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people, they will leave a good name for all eternity and vice versa. Talking about the qualities of cadres and the spirit of serving the revolution and the people, President Ho Chi Minh emphasized the core qualities of cadres, such as: Must be absolutely loyal, steadfast in revolutionary ideals, put the interests of the Party, the revolution, the country, and the nation above all else; wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland, serve the people, be filial to the people; wholeheartedly love comrades, compatriots, and love people; be diligent, diligent, honest, upright, impartial, and selfless; truly be a servant of the people; resolutely fight against individualism and opportunism...

Faced with the challenges and requirements of the country's new development situation and conditions, our Party increasingly focuses on ensuring and promoting integrity among cadres and party members. Therefore, on behalf of the Politburo, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong signed and issued Regulation No. 144-QD/TW dated May 9, 2024 on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period.

The issuance of Regulation No. 144-QD/TW is urgent, in line with practical requirements, promoting advantages, overcoming shortcomings and limitations in Party building work on ethics, preventing and combating corruption and negativity, building our Party "is ethical, is civilized" as President Ho Chi Minh said. With this timely regulation, the Party has sent out a strong message that the entire Party strictly adheres to very high and specific ethical standards for cadres and Party members. This will be the basis for evaluating and handling Party members who violate, are poorly trained, degenerate, degraded, and fall into individualism.

The lessons that President Ho Chi Minh taught us about cadre work have never been old. Revolutionary morality does not fall from the sky. It is developed and consolidated through daily struggle and persistent training. Therefore, each cadre and party member must uphold the spirit of self-criticism and criticism; at the same time, must feel remorse and shame for their distorted perceptions and incorrect actions. Constantly cultivate and train morality, personality, dignity, maintain a clean, healthy, civilized lifestyle, enhance "resistance" to material temptations, money, fame, avoid falling into individualism, selfishness, pragmatism, and corruption.

Nowadays, for agencies and organizations, facing the reality of moral degradation and lifestyle with complicated trends, it is necessary to seriously acknowledge the weaknesses and limitations; the regulations and rules have not been implemented synchronously and seriously; the inspection and supervision work is still lax and irregular. Therefore, in the coming time, the criteria for training cadres need to be more specific and strict; tighten the regulations of the Party and the laws of the State on cadre work; develop scientific regulations as a basis for evaluating the ethics of cadres and party members in an objective, substantive, comprehensive and humane manner; encourage the masses to boldly denounce violations; expose the hypocrisy of cadres and party members with poor self-cultivation and training.
