Over 22,600 houses damaged by natural disasters

According to the report of the Provincial Civil Defense Command Office, as of October 4, the historic flood had affected, damaged and suffered losses to 22,600 houses. Of these, 42 houses were completely damaged; nearly 900 houses suffered losses ranging from 30-70%. This is the largest number of natural disaster losses in history.

The floods also damaged and destroyed over 120 schools, cultural houses, and medical stations; buried and collapsed 11,000 hectares of rice, corn, vegetables, and industrial crops; collapsed and collapsed 28 bridges; and destroyed 70 irrigation and clean water works. In addition, many electric poles, transformer stations, and rural markets were damaged.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command requests localities to: Mobilize maximum machinery, equipment and people to urgently handle and clear obstacles, clean roads and the environment with the motto "Where the water recedes, clean up immediately" to ensure traffic and daily life activities return to normal soon.

Storm No. 11 is approaching the mainland, causing widespread heavy rain in the northern provinces, including Tuyen Quang province. The Provincial Civil Defense Command recommends that localities promptly inform people; closely monitor forecast bulletins, proactively warn of all response plans, and minimize damage.
