Nhat Le Border Guard Station promptly rescues fishermen with stroke at sea

On the morning of October 7, Nhat Le Border Guard Station (Quang Tri province) deployed forces to successfully rescue a fisherman who had a stroke while fishing with a trawl net in the sea about 2 nautical miles from Nhat Le estuary.

The fisherman who had the accident was Mr. Pham Van M. (born in 1976), a crew member of fishing boat QB-11042-TS. Immediately after receiving the news, the unit mobilized a working group of 4 officers, soldiers and 1 military medic to approach, provide first aid and quickly bring the victim to shore.

Currently, Mr. M. has been transferred to the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi for emergency treatment and is out of danger.

Fishermen were brought ashore by Border Guards and given emergency treatment at the hospital.

"When admitted to the hospital, the patient was in a coma. However, thanks to the timely rescue by Nhat Le Border Guard Station, he was saved," said Dr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Director of Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Hospital.
