Tuyen Quang Farmers' Association promotes solidarity, innovation, cooperation and development

Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh attended the Provincial Farmers' Association Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending the event were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and 278 delegates representing more than 229,000 farmers' association members in the whole province.

The province currently has 124 grassroots Farmers' Associations with 3,733 branches and more than 290,000 farmer members. During the past term, all levels of the association have united, innovated, and strongly focused on the grassroots; promoted propaganda, mobilization, and education of members, and promoted the core role of the Farmers' Association in gathering and orienting members. Thereby, farmers voluntarily contributed over 8 billion VND, donated over 282,000 square meters of land, contributed over 186,000 working days; repaired nearly 1,000 km of roads, and over 3,000 km of intra-field canals.

The Farmers' emulation movement for good production and business has spread widely, currently there are 48,887 households achieving the title of good production and business at all levels, 5 members are excellent Vietnamese farmers. Farmers' members have accessed loans, effectively used the Farmers' Support Fund, the total capital reached over 76.1 billion VND. Provincial Farmers' members have developed 450 products achieving 3-star OCOP or higher, including 2 national 5-star products, 12 products have been granted Geographical Indication certificates by the Department of Intellectual Property. In addition, Farmers' members have become a pioneering force in innovating production models and developing the rural economy in a sustainable direction.

The first Congress of the Farmers' Union of Tuyen Quang province, term 2025 - 2030, set out the direction to build a comprehensively strong Union, promote the role of farmers as the subject and center in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction; contribute to bringing Tuyen Quang province firmly into the era of national development. The term set out 10 main targets and identified 2 breakthroughs including: Actively participating in the development of collective economy in agriculture associated with value chains; improving the qualifications and skills of cadres and members of farmers, especially in digital skills.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged, commended and congratulated the results achieved by the Farmers' Association at all levels and members of the province in the past term. With the new space and conditions for development, to continue promoting the role of the Farmers' Association, he requested that the Associations at all levels strictly implement the resolutions on agriculture, farmers and rural areas. At the same time, pay attention to building the Association to be politically strong, organizationally strong, and unified in action; to be the core in the movement and represent the farmers, ensuring care and promotion of the role, responsibilities and interests of cadres and members of the Farmers' Association.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Farmers' Associations at all levels need to play a good role as a bridge connecting the four houses, build a plan for large-scale, high-tech concentrated agricultural production areas; make the program "One Commune One Product" a highlight to promote rural economic development. Promote the effectiveness of emulation movements for farmers to compete in production and good business, join hands to build a new countryside; perform well the function of social supervision and criticism, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of farmers, proactively participate in mediation at the grassroots level.

Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh expressed his belief that with the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese working class, the tradition of the revolutionary homeland and the achievements that have been achieved, in the new term with the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Cooperation - Development", the work of the Association and the provincial farmers' movement will have strong and comprehensive development, contributing significantly with the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in the province to successfully implement the goals of the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Speaking and presenting flowers to congratulate the Congress, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Nguyen Xuan Dinh acknowledged the initiative and solidarity of the officials and members of the Farmers' Union of Tuyen Quang province who have made worthy contributions to the cause of socio-economic development and the farmers' movement in the country in general.

The congress organized a fundraiser to support people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods.

In the coming time, he suggested that the Provincial Farmers' Association at all levels pay attention to implementing a number of tasks: Continue to diversify propaganda and education on political ideology and policies for members; pay attention to the grassroots Association staff, innovate methods of gathering members; proactively deploy consulting and support services for farmers' members in production, business, and development of collective economic forms; promote agricultural development, transform agricultural economic thinking based on the foundation of advanced scientific and technological knowledge and a team of highly qualified cadres, members, and farmers; increase support in capital, vocational training, transfer of science and technology, and digital transformation of agriculture.

At the Congress, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union announced the decision to appoint 55 comrades to participate in the new Executive Committee, appoint the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee; appoint the positions of President and Vice President of the Union, Comrade Chu Thi Ngoc Diep holds the position of President of the Provincial Farmers' Union, term I, 2025-2030. At the same time, appoint 15 delegates to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2026 - 2031.
