Meeting to deploy the plan to organize the Fire Dancing Festival of the Pa Then people

On the afternoon of November 27, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to deploy preparations for the first Fire Dancing Festival of the Pa Then people in Tuyen Quang province in 2025.

Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Attending and chairing the meeting were comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches. The meeting was held in person combined with online with Tan Trinh commune.

This year's Fire Dancing Festival will be held on December 5, 2025 (October 16 of the lunar calendar), at the Center of the People's Committee of Tan Trinh Commune. At the Festival, there will be a performance ceremony of the pestle pulling ritual, a fire dancing ceremony and competitions such as: Croissant wrapping contest; chicken cage weaving; brocade weaving; rice cake pounding; stick pushing; crossbow shooting; stilt walking; tug of war; sack dancing and supporting activities such as: Organizing offerings to ancestors and fire gods at the traditional house of the Pa Then ethnic group in My Bac village; organizing the display of traditional items of the Pa Then people at the traditional house; space for enjoying tea; space for displaying and introducing typical products of the commune...

At the meeting, delegates discussed and proposed appropriate solutions for organizing competitions and fire dancing ceremonies within the framework of the Fire Dancing Program of the Pa Then people in Tuyen Quang province in 2025.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha requested: The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to increase support for Tan Trinh commune in professional work to improve the quality of activities; Tan Trinh commune People's Committee must soon complete the detailed plan, program and specific budget estimate to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Tan Trinh commune and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to study plans to promote socialization in organizing the program to mobilize more resources; related professional sectors are responsible for closely coordinating with Tan Trinh commune to organize the program successfully.
