Na Ri Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities was isolated due to deep flooding.

On the morning of October 7, rising river water isolated Na Ri Ethnic Boarding School in Na Ri commune.

Na Ri Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities was flooded.

Ms. Nong Thi Tuyet, Principal of the school, said that currently more than 270 students are still on campus. Teachers have guided them to move to the second and third floors to ensure safety. Food and provisions have been provided, enough for today.

Previously, floodwaters rose rapidly, causing the only road into the school to be deeply submerged and the current to be strong, making it difficult to access and provide support.

Local authorities and functional forces are closely monitoring the situation and are ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of students and teachers as the floods continue.

Authorities support households in surrounding areas to evacuate.
