According to preliminary statistics, on October 7, in Cho Ra commune, there were more than 20 houses, 1 gas station in village 4 and many roads that were damaged by landslides. Currently, there are 23 households in Khuoi Slun village located in the landslide risk area, the local government urgently propagated and mobilized people to evacuate to safe places. The rain and floods also caused inundation in many areas in the area, with estimated damage of about 1.5 billion VND.

In Ba Be commune, 4 households in Na Nieng, Na Niem, Ngam Khet and Ban Cam villages suffered from landslides; 7 households in Na Nieng village were at high risk of landslides and needed to be urgently evacuated; about 30 houses were at risk of flooding; over 60 hectares of rice in 10 villages were in the stage of preparing to bloom were flooded, about 20 hectares of corn were severely affected. In addition, a concrete road in Na Nghe village was cracked due to landslides. Currently, the local government has mobilized forces to support the evacuation of people and property to safety.

In Thuong Minh commune, heavy rains caused serious landslides in many areas. Dozens of households in Thach Ngoa, Ban Xa, Doan Ket, Khuoi Ha, Na Nghe, Na Ngo, Phieng Phuong and Pu Mat villages had their slopes behind their houses eroded, with hundreds of cubic meters of soil. Many households had their walls eroded, collapsed and their household items buried.

Rising river and stream water caused flooding of about 10 hectares of crops in the villages of Phieng Phuong, Na Ngo, Pung Cham, Pu Mat, Ban Lung and Na Nghe. Road 253 connecting Thuong Minh and Phuc Loc communes had landslides in 5 locations, with about 350 cubic meters of soil and rock; many traffic routes and intra-village roads had negative and positive slopes collapsed, causing local congestion.

Faced with complicated weather developments, Cho Ra, Ba Be and Thuong Minh communes have mobilized forces to focus on supporting people in evacuating their assets; proactively arranged vehicles and forces on duty 24/7, ready to respond to all situations, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property according to the "four on-site" motto.

The authorities recommend that, currently, heavy rains are widespread, water levels in rivers and streams continue to rise, people need to be especially vigilant against landslides, flash floods, and limit travel, especially on roads at high risk of landslides, deeply flooded or landslide areas, and strictly follow the instructions of the authorities to avoid risks during floods...
