According to an announcement from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, the university is expected to announce the admission cutoff scores based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results on August 18th.
The university has also announced the minimum quality assurance threshold for admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam for enrollment in regular undergraduate programs. Accordingly, the minimum admission score ranges from 20 to 24 points.
The minimum entrance score includes priority points for region and policy-based categories as stipulated in the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the university.
Last year, the admission cutoff scores for Ho Chi Minh City University of Law ranged from 22.91 to 27.11 points. The Law major (C00 combination) had the highest cutoff score. Following closely behind was the International Commercial Law major, which required 26.86 points across all admission combinations (A01, D01, D66, D84).
As of the closing time of the online registration portal (5 PM on July 30, 2024), the Ministry of Education and Training's (MOET) general admissions support system recorded a total of over 733,000 candidates who had entered their admission preferences, equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates registering for the 2024 high school graduation exam.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the virtual filtering process for university admissions will take place from August 13th to 5 PM on August 17th and will be carried out 6 times.
After the final virtual filtering process is complete, universities will enter the admission scores and selection results into the system, review them, and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.
