Weather today 02/7: Intermittent sunshine in the South, rain in the evening; Heavy rain in the North

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from yesterday evening to today, July 2, the weather in the North and Thanh Hoa will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with very heavy rain in some places.

Rainfall is generally 30-80mm, in some places over 200mm.

Tonight, the Northwest will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places will have very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally 15-40mm, some places over 80mm.

Warning of risk of heavy localized rain (>100mm/3h). From tomorrow 3-7 rain will decrease.

South Central Coast provinces have showers and thunderstorms. Central Highlands have heavy rain in some places.

Southern region and Ho Chi Minh City have intermittent sunshine, sometimes showers. Heavy rain in some places in the evening.

At sea, today, the Gulf of Tonkin, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone), the central and South East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone), the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong winds of level 6-7, and waves over 2m high.

In addition, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau has strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7, waves from 1.5 - 2.5m high, rough seas.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

Hanoi is cloudy with moderate rain and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places. Lowest temperature 23-25 degrees Celsius, highest 29-31 degrees Celsius.

Northwest cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places have very heavy rain. Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius, highest 28-31 degrees Celsius.

Northeast region is cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places have very heavy rain. Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius, highest 28-31 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa to Hue cloudy, showers and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 30-33 degrees Celsius.

South Central Coast has clouds, showers and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 32-35 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands cloudy, showers and thunderstorms, moderate rain and thunderstorms in the evening, heavy rain to very heavy rain in some places. Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees Celsius, highest 25-28 degrees Celsius.

The South is cloudy, with intermittent sunshine, occasional showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places in the evening. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 31-34 degrees Celsius.

From July 1, weather zones across the country are divided as follows:

Hanoi City.

The Northwest includes the provinces of Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Lao Cai, and the western region of Phu Tho province (formerly Hoa Binh province).

The Northeast includes Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Hanoi provinces, and the northern part of Phu Tho province (former Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces).

Thanh Hoa to Hue.

The South Central Coast includes the provinces and cities of Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and the coastal provinces of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong.

Central Highlands: west of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong provinces.

The Southern region includes Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and the Western provinces.
