Dak Nong Newspaper meets with officials and employees about merger preparation

On the morning of June 30, Dak Nong Newspaper organized a meeting with officials, civil servants and employees to inform and discuss preparations for the merger of press agencies of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.

According to the Merger Project, Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio - Television (new) will be a revenue-generating public service unit, operating press activities in accordance with Party regulations and State laws, under the direct and regular leadership of the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.

This will be the official mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong province (new), and at the same time an information bridge between the Party, government and people.

Comrades: Vu Ngoc Tu, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper; Nguyen Phi Long-Nguyen Van Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper chaired the meeting.

With the propaganda function, the new press agency has the task of implementing information on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's and local laws; launching patriotic emulation movements; fighting against negativity, refuting false arguments; and at the same time serving the spiritual life of the people of the whole province.

After the merger, Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television will have 9 functional departments including: Office; Editorial Secretariat; Service - Advertising - Distribution Department; Printed Newspaper Department; News Department; Electronic Newspaper - Digital Content Department; Special Topic Department; Ethnic Minority Program Department; Technical - Technology Department.

The total number of employees is 445, including 287 civil servants receiving salaries from the budget and 158 contract workers according to Decree 111/2022/ND-CP. The unit will develop a specific roadmap to streamline the payroll, rearrange personnel associated with job positions, ensuring compliance with regulations of the State and the Ministry of Home Affairs .

After the merger, the new Lam Dong Provincial Newspaper, Radio and Television will have 9 functional departments.

In particular, the new press agency will maintain two main headquarters, which are the current workplaces of Lam Dong Newspaper and Lam Dong Radio and Television Station; and at the same time, set up two facilities at the headquarters of Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station and Dak Nong Radio and Television Station.

All usable assets and equipment will be transferred and centrally managed; technical means will be exploited economically and effectively and new investments will be proposed suitable for the next development stage.

The first printed issue will be published on July 1, 2025 – the time when the two-level government of the (new) Lam Dong province officially comes into operation.

Officials, civil servants and employees were informed and reported on a number of contents related to professional activities; at the same time, they exchanged, expressed opinions and proposed solutions to maintain good professional activities of the unit as well as ensure psychological and ideological stability for the team of officials, civil servants and employees throughout the merger process.

Each published newspaper, each news item, and article is the result of dedication, commitment, and tireless efforts for the responsibility to the Party and the People.

Before the big turning point, the Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper expressed his understanding of the legitimate concerns and worries of cadres, civil servants and employees when having to adapt to a new working environment, new colleagues and changes in position, function and tasks. However, the Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper affirmed that the merger is a continuation of a new stature, where each cadre, civil servant and employee has the opportunity to develop their capacity in a more modern and open career space.

Editor-in-Chief Vu Ngoc Tu also expressed his sincere thanks to all cadres, civil servants and employees who have accompanied, attached and contributed to the development of Dak Nong Newspaper over the past time. At the same time, he expressed his belief that with solidarity, responsibility and love for the profession, the collective of cadres, reporters and employees of Dak Nong Newspaper will continue to make worthy contributions to the development of the new press agency so that the voices of the Party, government and people will be spread more strongly and widely in the new period.
