On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" will take place from August 28 - September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ).
This is the largest national exhibition ever, displaying many artifacts and images introducing the achievements of 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries, 94 private enterprises, and 12 state-owned enterprises.
To ensure that the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) booth at the exhibition is completed in the best possible way and is ready to welcome delegates and visitors on the opening day of the exhibition, on the afternoon of August 24, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang, Deputy General Directors and leaders of VNA units inspected the items and contents of the exhibition.
VNA is proud of 80 years of accompanying the country
Within the framework of the Exhibition, the VNA's display area (near gate H8) introduces the 80-year journey of the National News Agency's establishment, construction, development and companionship with the country.
The exhibition area clearly reflects the great contributions of VNA to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; affirming the role and position of the key information agency in the country's press and media system, the prestigious National News Agency in the region and the world .
This is also a key activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VNA's Traditional Day (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025).
VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang said: VNA's exhibition space recreates the 80-year journey of accompanying the country through unique news, images and artifacts.

Through this, VNA affirms its role as an official source of news, a key news source, from the resistance war to the country's construction and the journey into a new era of prosperous development, rich identity and happiness.
“The highlight of VNA’s exhibition area is the globe in the central position, representing VNA’s information ecosystem and aspiration for deep international integration. The globe is covered with images of domestic and foreign reporters, multimedia products, multi-platforms, pioneering in applying digital technology ,” shared General Director Vu Viet Trang.
Carrying the message “Official news source - Mainstream news”, the exhibition area of VNA is designed to introduce a rich variety of information, images, documents, artifacts... following the flow of history, taking visitors through each stage of formation, development and future orientation of the National News Agency with 4 parts.
The first part, with the theme: “VNA in the struggle for independence, freedom, unification and peace”, affirms that VNA was born from the Vietnamese revolutionary practice, with the glorious mission of serving the cause of national liberation and defending the Fatherland; highlights the great contributions of VNA in the resistance wars to save the nation, protect the sovereignty of the border and territory; honors and pays tribute to nearly 260 VNA martyr journalists who heroically sacrificed for the Fatherland, so that the news agency's news flow will always flow.
Part 2 with the theme: "Building a rich people - strong country - happiness - prosperity (1976-2000)", reflects the work of healing the wounds of war, building the country from hardship; the determination of Innovation from the 6th Party Congress; opening up, integration and development.

This is the period when VNA promotes the propaganda of the Party and State's guidelines and policies, creates social consensus, spreads good things, and fulfills the mission of the secretary of the times.
At the same time, VNA also innovates and diversifies its forms, products and methods of providing information, launching a series of products to serve a wide audience at home and abroad.
Part 3, with the theme: "Reaching out in the era of technology - integration - sustainable development (2001-2025)", introduces to the public a rich, multimedia, multi-platform, multi-lingual information product ecosystem, VNA's efforts in digital transformation, application of modern technology in production, management, and information distribution; streamlining the organizational structure, aiming to build a strong, professional, humane, modern national news agency with prestige in the region and the world.
Part 4 introduces VNA's extensive foreign affairs activities with the presence of VNA's network of resident correspondents in all 34 provinces and cities in the country and 30 countries and territories on all continents, along with VNA's extensive cooperative relations with more than 40 major news agencies and press organizations around the world.
Impressions of VNA's exhibition booth

Coming to the VNA's display area at the exhibition, visitors can admire artifacts, news reports, and images associated with historical milestones of the country and VNA.
These were the first bulletin marking the birth of Vietnam News Agency (VNTTX), now VNA - the Declaration of Independence in three languages, Vietnamese, English, and French, broadcast worldwide on September 15, 1945; VNA's Domestic Bulletin Collection reporting on the Dien Bien Phu victory in May 1954; the news "The Ho Chi Minh Campaign has been completely victorious" broadcast on April 30, 1975 on VNA's Unification Struggle Bulletin; the article on fighting against negativity in the Weekly Newsletter in September 1987 that resonated in the press and society...
In addition, photos that have stood the test of time such as: The victory flag flying on the roof of General De Castries' bunker, May 7, 1954; The people of the capital joyfully welcoming the victorious army back, October 10, 1954; The scene at the Kleber International Conference Center during the official signing ceremony of the Paris Agreement on Vietnam, January 1973; Liberation Army tanks entering the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975... contribute to vividly recreating important historical moments of the nation.
In particular, many press photo works by VNA reporters have been awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize, the State Prize for Literature and Arts, and many domestic and international press awards.
Deputy Head of the VNA Photo Editorial Board Dinh Thi Ngoc Lien shared: Since receiving the direction from the Industry Leaders, for more than a month now, the team of reporters and editors of the Board has coordinated with units to select more than 200 photos from millions of photos and films in the VNA photo archive.

These are works selected from a selective list of milestones of achievements of the country over the past 80 years, with the participation of VNA. The selected photos are not only press photos that fully meet the content criteria but also mark the mark of VNA's journalism team.
The VNA's exhibition booth also has dozens of traditional artifacts, collected from traditional rooms in all three regions of the North, Central and South, such as: TIPAS typewriter used by Deputy General Director Le Chan in Viet Bac; Hand-cranked telephone used by VNA to directly communicate and report important news to President Ho, the Politburo and the Central Secretariat (1950-1973); 15W - xD6 transceiver used by the Liberation News Agency (LPA) from its inception until the country's reunification (1960-1975); Camera set of martyr journalist Bui Dinh Tuy (1914-1967), Deputy Director of the LPA...
At the VNA exhibition space, the country's outstanding events and proud milestones of the VNA are vividly presented in Vietnamese and English through images, documents, graphics, photo slides, video clips, special press products, interactive press... along with an LED screen system with unique and novel visual effects.
Information about each historical period will be introduced via QR codes for visitors to easily access rich information, images and documents.
In particular, when coming to the VNA booth, visitors can also experience the Virtual Traditional Room, 360 Check-in Corner, participate in fun and meaningful minigames through the History Learning Contest...
On this occasion, VNA also introduces to readers typical books compiled and published by the News Agency Publishing House; special issues, and 3D interactive digital press products to celebrate the great national holiday.
With a rich and diverse display of content, combining many modern technological elements, the exhibition booth is the crystallization of the pride of the VNA press team about the country's historical process, the constant creative efforts to contribute to the overall success of the Exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness"./.
