Surprising information about the "fabric theft" case after a traffic accident

By this afternoon (July 7), 50-60 people had returned to support the owner of the overturned fabric truck with money after picking up the fabric to bring home.

Speaking with CAN Newspaper reporter, Ms. Bui Thi Lich, the owner of the overturned fabric truck, said that by this afternoon (July 7), about 50-60 people who had picked up the fabric and brought it home had returned to find her and support her with money.

Ms. Lich said that each person sent her 20,000 - 30,000 VND. Some people sent 50,000 - 60,000 VND and the total amount she received was more than 10 million VND.

Previously, social networks were spreading information that people were competing to "steal fabric" when a truck was involved in a traffic accident.

Accordingly, the clip recorded dozens of people carrying sacks, gathering to pick lychees in a vacant lot near a cemetery in Dan Hoa commune ( Hanoi ).

The person who posted the clip said the truck carrying lychees came from Bac Ninh , with the value of the goods being around 30 million VND. When the truck reached the above route, it had an accident, fortunately no one was seriously injured.

It is known that the driver contacted and a tow truck came to take the truck to the garage for repair. The fabric was temporarily removed and placed on the side of the road.

However, while the driver was taking the car to be repaired, some people picked up the fabric and took it home. Some even brought a sack of fabric. When the driver returned, he was shocked to find that all the fabric was gone.

The driver hopes that the people who picked up the fabric will come back to help.

On the afternoon of July 7, a leader of the People's Committee of Dan Hoa commune said that there had indeed been a traffic accident in the commune. Since there was no collision and no one was injured, the driver did not report it to the authorities.

The leader of the Commune People's Committee also said that because the incident happened early in the morning, many people passing through the area thought that the lychees on the roadside were discarded, so they picked them up, not "stealing the lychees" as reported online.

Currently, the truck driver has returned to the scene of the accident and is waiting, hoping that the people who picked up the fabric will return or provide financial support for the fabric they took.

It is known that the drivers, Mr. Bui Tuan Lanh (born in 1978) and Ms. Bui Thi Lich (born in 1986), from Yen Phu commune, Phu Tho province (Lac Son district, former Hoa Binh province) were transporting about 4 tons of lychee from Bac Ninh along National Highway 6 when the vehicle suddenly had an accident and plunged into the field. Fortunately, the accident did not endanger their lives.
