Information on 19 university admission methods in 2025

(PLVN) - The Ministry of Education and Training prescribes 19 methods of admission to regular universities in 2025.

Typical admission methods include: Considering high school graduation exam scores (code 100); considering high school transcripts (code 200); direct admission according to admission regulations (code 301); capacity assessment test, thinking assessment organized by the training institution itself for admission (code 401)...

According to the newly issued guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates can choose multiple university admission methods at the same time to optimize their chances of admission.

The Ministryof Education and Training's general admission support system will automatically process candidate data according to the principle of equality between methods. Candidates admitted by any method will be considered for the results of that method.

Compared to 2024, this year the Ministry of Education and Training has eliminated 4 methods including: Combining direct admission according to the project and other methods; direct admission according to the project of the training institution; combining interviews with other criteria for admission; combining international certificates with other criteria for admission.

However, the Ministry also added 3 new methods including: Using international SAT certificates or other qualified international certificates for admission; V-SAT exam; using V-SAT exam results organized by other units for admission.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 25-28, with candidates completing procedures on June 25 and taking the official exam on June 26-27. At 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the Ministry will announce the exam scores for candidates to register for university admission. The registration period is from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
