Collected more than 270 billion VND, with nearly 1.375 million donations to support the Cuban people

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society said that as of 6 p.m. on August 16, the "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" campaign to support the Cuban people had received more than 270 billion VND.

The campaign to support the Cuban people "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba Friendship" is a meaningful activity within the framework of "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year 2025", commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1960-2025).

The program will be held for 65 days, from August 13 to October 16, 2025, with the goal of raising at least 65 billion VND to support the Cuban people with food, necessities and sustainable humanitarian activities.

With the strong participation of the community, just 30 hours after its launch, the program achieved its minimum fundraising goal of 65 billion VND.

And by 6pm on August 16, after 3 days of launching, the amount raised had reached more than 270 billion VND.

This is a vivid demonstration of the special, loyal and steadfast solidarity and friendship of the Vietnamese people towards the brotherly Cuban people, creating a valuable resource to help the Cuban people overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and continue to develop.

The program will continue to be implemented until October 16, 2025. The Central Committee and the member agencies of the Organizing Committee hope to continue to receive the cooperation and support of agencies, units, organizations, individuals, and compatriots at home and abroad, to expand the circle of humanity, spread humanitarian values and noble international sentiment to the Cuban people.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society pledges to be transparent and public in all its support receipts and will fully and promptly transfer them to the Cuban people in 2025.
