Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of the Resilient Women's Club Network Hoang Thu Ha said that what makes the book "We Are - Resilient Women" so special is not only the art of photography or the beautiful printed pages, but also the spiritual strength it conveys. Through each page of the book, we encounter 58 radiant faces, 58 smiles filled with confidence.

“Each accompanying Vietnamese-English bilingual story is a true slice of their lives, where challenges, tears and a strong desire to live converge. These resilient women have turned pain into strength, tears into smiles, and lit the fire of belief for themselves as well as for those around them,” Ms. Hoang Thu Ha emphasized.

The book is the crystallization of love, sharing and the spirit of enduring companionship with the breast cancer patient community. The publication includes 58 portraits of women living with breast cancer, including 56 members of the Resilient Women's Club Network and 2 special guests: Ms. Phan Vu Diem Hang (Head of the volunteer group "ONG CHAM" focusing on building dormitories and providing warm clothes and blankets for boarding schools in mountainous areas) and singer Le Hong Nhung. Both are breast cancer patients.

Each photo is taken free of charge by dedicated photographers from the DLA Photography Club, aiming to portray the radiant beauty, strength and optimism of each character.

Accompanying the images are 58 simple yet emotional Vietnamese-English bilingual stories, recreating the journey of overcoming adversity, spreading faith and hope. From the pages of the book, readers will clearly see that cancer cannot take away the will to live, but on the contrary, awakens the courage and resilience of women living with the disease.

The publication will be donated to cancer hospitals across the country with the hope that it will not only be a regular photo book, but also a source of inspiration for those on the journey to face cancer in general and breast cancer in particular.

Established on February 22, 2014 in Hanoi, the Resilient Women's Club Network was founded by breast cancer patients with the mission of "veterans guiding new recruits" - the predecessors support the successors with knowledge, experience and spirit in the fight against the disease.

After 11 years of operation, the network has built 27 clubs in 27 localities, and gathered more than 1,500 members nationwide; organized activities to raise awareness and understanding of the disease and treatment for members, and awarded 151 health insurance cards to members in difficult circumstances.

In addition, the network also organized 38 sharing sessions to raise awareness about breast cancer for women in the community in a number of provinces, cities and some industrial zones; photo exhibition "Smiles of Resilient Women" (2020); published the book "Don't Fight Alone" (2021)...
