Music Window No. 5 - Autumn Song took place on the evening of November 4 at Ho Guom Theater, Hanoi , with the participation of singers Hong Nhung, Thanh Lam , Vu Thang Loi , Bang Kieu, Tan Minh, Dao To Loan, Khanh Linh, Orange, Minh Duc.

Hong Nhung asked Duong Thu to sing more but was refused.

Hong Nhung said that musician Duong Thu was the one who directly "led" her from the children's stage to the professional stage when she was 15 years old (in 1985).

Thanks to him, Hong Nhung had the opportunity and was the youngest contestant to win a gold medal at the 4th National Professional Music and Dance Festival in Hai Phong .

He also taught her the most important lessons not only about music but also in life, most importantly "the purity of an artist's soul".

"My uncle treated me like his own child. Hong Nhung was as close to his daughter as two sisters. When I passed away, Bong was by my side the whole time. To me, my uncle was my family, a place to rely on and support me in so many ways," Hong Nhung said.

Although they were close, when asked to sing one more song at the live concert, the musician refused.

Hong Nhung made a direct request to the audience and the musician to break the rules and sing Van hat loi tinh yeu outside of the program . She also performed an a cappella segment, inviting the audience to sing Van hat loi tinh yeu together because when mentioning Duong Thu's music, this song must be included.

Duong Thu "flew into the blue day"

Musician Duong Thu shared that his homeland is a story of the soul, of memories of the place where he was born and raised. The older we get, the further away we go, the more we remember it.

"But life changes so quickly, it's no longer the way we want it to be. I know it has to be like that, but I'm still sad and regretful," he said.

Maybe that's why Music Window No. 5   was opened, bringing Duong Thu "flying into the green day".

The concert had about 20 performances like 20 nostalgic scenes. There were many familiar songs and also songs rarely performed live on stage.

But there you can see both the feelings and the "time" of the composer and the singer. Hong Nhung sings "Nightingale Sings in the Rain" and Khanh Linh sings "April Comes" no longer as melodious and clear as before. Nor is it as fresh and exciting as before.

But Hong Nhung sings Winter Lullaby and feels the vastness of the years and months, the overwhelming time.

The fiery and mysterious Thanh Lam, along with a choir of 30 children, brought a Lullaby with a strong contemporary folk feel mixed with a semi-classical style like a lullaby from a spring. Compared to the program Our Song season 1, Cho Em Mot Ngay Qua, the combination between Thanh Lam and Orange this time was quite heavy on the semi-classical music background.

The Salty Sea performed by Vu Thang Loi and the orchestra is like a musical, but also like a dream of life. He also collaborated with Dao To Loan in Goi Anh , before this soprano sang Im Lang with restraint, without showing off too much technique.

Duong Thu said composing music is like writing a diary, coming from personal sadness and not daring to think that anyone needs him, so he thanks the audience for coming, staying, and sharing with him beautiful moments in music.

In this live concert, the musician wants the audience to live with him in the beautiful autumn mood, seeing everything beautiful and clear. That is Duong Thu's life dream.
