On November 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said it is promoting awareness among consumers not to use unsafe and substandard weight loss food products advertised on social networks.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 2119/ATTP-NDTT dated October 22 of the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) on coordination in inspection and supervision of food products, including information on a number of weight loss food products advertised by an individual nicknamed "Ngan Collagen", including Apple candy to eliminate belly fat, N-Collagen Chanh Plus..., advertised and sold online on social networks.

The Department said that currently, the authorities are conducting inspections and verification of the production, business and advertising activities of the above products.

Therefore, to protect health, while waiting for the authorities to complete the inspection and verification, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety recommends that consumers do not buy or use weight loss food products N-Collagen Chanh Plus, N-Collagen Cordyceps Bird's Nest Plus +, Apple Candy to Eliminate Belly Fat or "Apple Candy", with the name Hoang Chau Pharma Company Limited on the product packaging.

On the same day, many cultural and social departments of wards also issued warnings advising people not to buy or use the above weight loss food products of "Ngan Collagen".

The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) has warned consumers not to rely on false advertising content of the health protection food N-Collagen weight loss support tea to buy and use, because it can cause risks to health and economy .

According to the department, the advertising content of health protection food products such as N-Collagen weight loss support tea violates advertising laws.

According to research, currently on social networking platforms and e-commerce platforms, TikTok accounts named Tran Thi Bich Ngan (Ngan Collagen) regularly post videos advertising weight loss products as mentioned above.
