
These past few days, the Trung Trac embankment along the Ca Ty River has been busier than ever. The sound of engines from boats and fishermen calling each other to hurry out to arrange, anchor, and reinforce their fishing boats before the storm hits.
Mr. Le Ngoc Hai, owner of ship BTh 95988-TS, Phan Thiet ward shared: “When I heard the news from the local authorities and the army about the storm, I immediately brought the ship ashore. Having been at sea for decades, I cannot be subjective. Whenever I see a storm, I return early, tie the ropes securely to reduce damage, as long as people and the ship are still there, everything is left.”

Colonel Nguyen Minh Chinh, Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 5 - Phan Thiet, said that the unit is responsible for 25 administrative units, including 18 communes, 6 wards and Phu Quy Special Zone; including 9 coastal and island communes and wards.
The Regional Defense Command is maintaining a strict 24/7 rescue and relief operation; closely monitoring weather conditions and ensuring smooth communication. The force is always ready with means and human resources to promptly handle situations, ensuring absolute safety for people and vessels.
Along with that, Thanh Hai Border Guard Station, Coast Guard and units at fishing ports also focused on guiding fishermen to arrange safe anchorage; propagandizing, mobilizing, and asking fishermen not to go to sea during the complicated storm.
At Phu Hai Fishing Port, Major Tran Duong Khanh, Political Commissar of Thanh Hai Border Guard Station, said: Thanh Hai Border Guard Station is assigned to manage the sea border area with a length of nearly 30km. This is an area with high density of fishing activities with more than 2,000 vehicles and 11,720 workers participating in fishing and fishing logistics services.
In the area, there are also 17 transport ships operating on the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route, two river mouths (Cai River and Ca Ty River) flowing into the sea, Phan Thiet fishing port and Phu Hai storm shelter anchorage area.
“We have deployed forces to support people in the downstream areas of Ca Ty and Cai rivers, helping them to anchor boats and move vehicles to safe places to avoid damage caused by flooding,” Major Tran Duong Khanh informed.

Not only worrying about their own vehicles, many fishermen also volunteered to help each other tie anchor ropes and check equipment. Mr. Le Van Hai, owner of the BTh 98718-TS boat, shared: "People at sea love each other very much. With the help of border guards and the government, and the unity of fishermen, everyone feels more secure."
In Phu Quy Special Zone, local authorities also informed coastal residents to proactively respond. Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station regularly updates the location and direction of the storm for ships operating at sea, ensuring absolute safety for people and property.

With a proactive and ready spirit, the armed forces of Lam Dong province's coastal line are working day and night, coordinating with the government and people, determined to minimize damage and ensure safety from storm KALMAEGI.
According to the latest announcement from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 6:00 a.m. on November 6, the center of the storm was about 360km East Southeast of Quy Nhon ( Gia Lai ). The strongest wind was level 14 (150 - 166km/h), gusting to level 17. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move mainly in a westerly direction, at a speed of about 30km/h.
