First of all, focus on implementing preventive and response measures when storm Kalmaegi affects Ho Chi Minh City; prepare plans to respond to the storm's impact, especially thunderstorms, tornadoes, landslides, and flooding caused by heavy rain combined with high tides.

Schools urgently repair and reinforce structures at risk of being unsafe, coordinate with specialized units to trim trees inside schools, check sewer systems, drainage ditches, and power grids, etc.

In particular, prepare plans to evacuate students and teachers to a safe place; move documents and equipment to a dry location...

In addition to closely monitoring the development of storms, schools need to maintain regular contact with authorities and have plans in place for online learning, and postpone class schedules during storms if there are complicated developments.

At the same time, the department also requested that after the storm, educational units urgently overcome damages; clean and sanitize schools and classrooms to ensure safety, cleanliness, and disease prevention...

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also emphasized the content of extracurricular educational activities, specifically postponing these activities for students before, during and after the storm until safety work returns to normal.

Meanwhile, in a group of a class at a kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City, the homeroom teacher informed parents about storm number 13 (Kalmaegi storm).

On November 5, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , this homeroom teacher said that due to concerns about the 13th storm affecting Ho Chi Minh City, teachers also discussed and texted to parents about disaster response skills, first aid, and ensuring safety in emergency situations.
