U22 Vietnam will gather in two sessions in November. Session 1 will take place from November 10 to 19. The players will gather in Hanoi from November 10 and then go to China to participate in the Panda Cup friendly tournament.
Here, U22 Vietnam under the leadership of coach Dinh Hong Vinh will meet U22 China, U22 Uzbekistan and U22 Korea on November 12, 15 and 18. Through the matches, coach Vinh will report to coach Kim Sang Sik so that the Korean strategist can build the main squad.
On November 19, U22 Vietnam will return home and prepare for the second training session. This session will take place in Vung Tau from November 23 to 29, serving as a benchmark for the players' performance before the whole team leaves for Thailand to attend the 33rd SEA Games.
Coach Kim Sang Sik will personally take charge of U22 Vietnam during this period after leading the national team to finish the match against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
On December 2, U22 Vietnam will depart for Thailand. After arriving in Bangkok, the team will connect to Songkhla to play Group B matches with U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos. Previously, the team's original schedule was to go to Chiang Mai, but the organizers changed the location of Group B to Songkhla.
U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Laos on December 4, and meet U22 Malaysia on December 11.
The list of U22 Vietnam players expected to be announced in the next few days will include the best players from V-League clubs, possibly including those currently playing for the national team.
According to Tuoi Tre Online , coach Kim Sang Sik only kept two Vietnamese-American players, Viktor Le and Tran Thanh Trung, and did not call up Alex Bui or Vadim Nguyen - players who had been given opportunities before.
