On the afternoon of November 6, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction Vo Khanh Hung said that regarding the progress of key traffic projects such as An Phu intersection, My Thuy intersection and Luong Dinh Cua street, the department has coordinated with units to remove obstacles and speed up construction progress.

According to the Department of Construction, in recent times, the department has closely coordinated with the HCM City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) to shorten the time for granting construction permits for key projects. All proposals submitted by the Traffic Board are processed by the department within a maximum of 3 working days, faster than the administrative regulations (6 working days).
Faced with the situation that some roads are prohibited from transporting materials and equipment for construction works, the Department of Construction coordinated with the City Police, the Traffic Department and local authorities to inspect the scene and agreed on a plan to allow transport vehicles to circulate outside of the morning and afternoon rush hours. Thanks to that, the supply of materials and equipment for construction works is guaranteed, minimizing construction interruptions.

Regarding temporary traffic organization in the construction area, the Department of Construction has approved and passed all plans proposed by the Traffic Department. In the coming time, the Department will continue to coordinate closely to unify the traffic organization plan to serve the project of expanding the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, as well as construction items at the An Phu intersection and My Thuy intersection.
Ho Chi Minh City has identified the key goal of shortening construction time, ensuring progress and traffic safety, putting projects into operation early, contributing to reducing traffic congestion in the East, especially on gateway routes such as Mai Chi Tho, Nguyen Thi Dinh and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
