The Commander of Military Region 5 requested the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command to strengthen guidance and support for fishermen to bring their boats and aquaculture cages to safe anchorages; absolutely not let people stay on the boats or return after being evacuated.
At some storm shelters in Quy Nhon ward, the Commander of Military Region 5 also requested units to carefully prepare living supplies, clean and spacious sanitation to reassure people.

In Quang Ngai province, over the past few days, units of Military Region 5 and the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command have mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers, along with hundreds of vehicles, boats, canoes, and specialized vehicles to be on standby to prepare for all storm response plans.
Over the past two days, regular army forces have gone directly to residential areas, especially in Ly Son, to help people reinforce their houses and schools, prune and cut down tall trees,
Military units stationed in Quang Ngai province have completed the "4 on-site" plan, ready for all situations when the storm makes landfall.
At 3:00 a.m. today (November 6), 350 soldiers of Division 2 were mobilized to communes and wards in Gia Lai province to participate in responding to storm No. 13.
Officers, soldiers, and many specialized vehicles and equipment such as cars, boats, pumps, field tents, etc. were ordered to key areas to promptly support the government and people in responding to the storm.

Five airports temporarily suspend operations due to storm Kalmaegi from the afternoon of November 6
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said it has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) to temporarily suspend operations at five airports in the Central Highlands region due to the impact of storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi), effective from the afternoon of November 6 to the morning of November 7, depending on weather developments, to ensure flight safety.
Affected ports include: Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Chu Lai and Phu Cat.
The specific timeframe is as follows: Phu Cat Airport (Giai Lai, old Binh Dinh area) temporarily stops from 4:00 p.m. on November 6 to 3:00 a.m. on November 7; Chu Lai (Da Nang, old Quang Nam area) from 8:00 p.m. on November 6 to 5:00 a.m. on November 7; Tuy Hoa (old Phu Yen) from 3:00 p.m. on November 6 to 0:00 a.m. on November 7; Pleiku (old Gia Lai area) from 9:00 p.m. on November 6 to 6:00 a.m. on November 7; Buon Ma Thuot (old Dak Lak area) from 10:00 p.m. on November 6 to 6:00 a.m. on November 7.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requested ports and airlines to closely monitor storm developments to adjust plans or change flight schedules accordingly, continuously update aviation meteorological information and implement measures to minimize impacts on operations, ensuring absolute safety for people and property.
