Top student of block C nationwide graduating from high school in 2024
Sharing with Dan Viet Newspaper reporter, Nguyen Thi Thu Ngan, Grade 12 English 2, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, one of the 19 top students of Block C nationwide graduating from high school in 2024 happily said: "I was admitted early to the Diplomatic Academy in the two faculties of Asia Pacific and International Relations by the method of IELTS certificate combined with academic records. I have confirmed my admission to the Asia Pacific faculty".
Recalling the unforgettable memory of becoming the valedictorian of the national C block in the high school graduation exam, Ngan said: “I was extremely happy when I heard that I was the valedictorian with a total score of 29.75 in 3 subjects: Literature 9.75 points; History 10 points; Geography 10 points. I was not too surprised about the results because I had calculated the History and Geography scores in advance. This year, everyone got the Literature score right, so they did quite well on the test.”

Thu Ngan shared the secret to studying well in block C with a large amount of social knowledge, lots of numbers and words, and this is a competitive exam block because the exam scores are always very high every year: “People often think that studying block C requires a lot of memorization. According to what I observed, memorization is also a great talent.
After 12 years of studying the general education program, I realized that my ability to memorize is not very good, so I try to understand. The final result is to understand and grasp at the maximum level, not trying to cram, forcing myself to memorize, or learning by heart. In my opinion, understanding is an important factor. But trying to learn by heart can bring bad results. So I am very afraid of learning by heart, only learning and understanding as much as possible at my own level of absorption.
According to Thu Ngan, she does not stay up late, only studying until around 10pm: “During the exam period, I wake up early a few days to study, then stop. I believe that studying early or late depends on how much sleep you get, you have to get enough sleep to be able to study. Every time I go to bed early at night, I wake up early in the morning to study.
Equally important, the learning process of this top student in block C mainly follows the curriculum in textbooks and the guidance of teachers. I believe that textbooks are always the most reliable source of information and should be studied carefully.

In other subjects, the female student also achieved impressive scores such as: History 9, Geography 9.75 and Civic Education 9.5. "I was very surprised and could not believe that I would become the valedictorian of the D group nationwide graduating from high school in 2024. When comparing the exam results, I just thought that maybe I would become the valedictorian of the whole school," Linh shared.
Revealing her study secrets, the top student in block D said: “Every student has their own secrets. For me, I always spend my time in class effectively and optimally to absorb new knowledge from teachers. Concentrating and actively listening in class is a very good first step, a foundation for me to review more in-depth knowledge later on.
As for English, because I am an English major, I already have a foundation. I did not spend too much time reviewing this subject in the high school graduation exam. I have a few small notes for English: in addition to reviewing basic knowledge to perfect grammar and reading comprehension skills to get the maximum score, I have to read about idioms. I think this is a part that I find quite risky in my exam.
