Collect data and information to calculate GRDP for 9 months and estimate for 2024.

This morning, September 12, the Quang Tri Provincial Statistics Office held a conference to provide information and data on estimated economic growth rate (GRDP) for the second quarter and 2024.

At the conference, delegates listened to Director of the Provincial Statistics Office Tran Anh Duong inform about Decree No. 62/2024/ND-CP, dated June 7, 2024 of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, the decree was issued to ensure the collection and compilation of statistical information that accurately, completely and truly reflects the nature of a reporting period, especially the monthly reporting period, to promptly serve the agencies of the Party, the Government, the Prime Minister and authorities at all levels in management, direction and operation. Some notes on the application of statistical work according to this decree.

The Director of the Provincial Statistics Office requested delegates to coordinate in providing accurate information and data for the first 9 months and estimates for 2024 so that the Provincial Statistics Office has a basis for synthesizing reports according to regulations.

After listening to the report of the General Statistics Office's leaders on the socio-economic situation in the first 8 months of 2024, the delegates gave their opinions on the GRDP growth rate in the first 6 months of 2024; enterprises reported on their production and business performance in terms of the number of products produced, products consumed and estimated net revenue for the first 9 months and the whole year of 2024.

Accordingly, in general, since the beginning of the year, investment programs and projects in the province have been implemented quite smoothly, ensuring the set progress. Major events and festivals in the province have been organized systematically and on a large scale, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and relax, contributing to increasing revenue for businesses. Some agricultural, industrial, construction sectors... are approaching the set targets and plans for the year...

However, in addition to the achieved results, a number of construction programs and projects have been and are being implemented; production and business of enterprises in the province have encountered many difficulties, especially in terms of investment capital, site clearance, compensation, unusual weather, workers quitting their jobs...

Therefore, delegates proposed that relevant levels and sectors need to have mechanisms, policies, and solutions to handle and remove difficulties and obstacles in the coming time, contributing to promoting economic growth in the last months of 2024.
