2.5 tons of cosmetics of unknown origin discovered in Dong Ha

Today, June 25, the Economic Police Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police announced that the unit had just discovered and seized 2.5 tons of cosmetics of unknown origin at a cosmetics store in Dong Ha City.

The Economic Police force simultaneously inspected 4 warehouses of Mr. Tran Dinh Vuong, owner of Kim Anh Cosmetics - Hair Accessories Store at 120B National Highway 9, Ward 1, Dong Ha City, and discovered 2.5 tons of cosmetics, including over 2,900 products, belonging to 43 different brands, with a value of hundreds of millions of VND.

Of which, there are more than 250 cosmetic products (23 types) produced domestically, with incorrect production address, code, barcode, no invoice, documents proving origin...; more than 2,600 cosmetic products (20 types) produced abroad.

It is known that Mr. Tran Dinh Vuong bought these smuggled goods from many different sources, without invoices or documents...

At the authorities, the subject Vuong admitted all his violations. Currently, the goods are being temporarily detained and sealed by the economic police force, continuing to investigate and handle according to the law.
