QTO - On the morning of November 18, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board announced that a section of traffic safety fence along the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway through Hieu Giang commune, Quang Tri province, which was dismantled by local people, has been repaired by the unit to prevent the recurrence of cattle going onto the expressway.

Previously, at around 1 p.m. on November 16, a herd of cows appeared on the highway in Hieu Giang commune, even spilling out onto the lane where many vehicles were traveling, endangering traffic participants.

Therefore, recently, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board has sent an urgent document to the People's Committees and Police of Le Ninh, Truong Phu, Kim Ngan, Ben Quan, Con Tien and Hieu Giang communes to coordinate propaganda for local people not to arbitrarily dismantle traffic safety barriers on the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway.

Although the Van Ninh - Cam Lo route has just been put into operation, fences have been installed along the route, but in some localities, people have arbitrarily removed the fences, allowing cattle to graze freely onto the highway.

The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board requests people to comply, and at the same time requests the authorities to verify and handle the act of removing the fence as a deterrent. In the immediate future, to ensure safety, at the locations where the fence has been removed, the unit will reinstall and use additional locks to avoid further removal.
