This context forces teachers to make constant efforts, uphold the spirit of lifelong learning, not only to be the ones to impart knowledge, help students know, but more importantly, to inspire and motivate students to distinguish right from wrong, to know how to be a good person, to know how to love and be harmonious...

Teachers are the ones who inspire, guide, sow the seeds of personality, help students develop emotional intelligence and skills.

Teachers have never faced as many challenges as now, but it is also the time to affirm the eternal values of the teaching profession. This is in line with the spirit that General Secretary To Lam spoke at the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies recently: "Entering a new stage of development with new thinking, but with values that never change".
Therefore, in the midst of the ever-changing wave of technology, one truth remains unchanged: AI cannot replace teachers. Machines can impart knowledge, but cannot inspire passion, understand emotions, shape personality and inspire creative potential in each student.
The role of teachers in the AI era is therefore not lost, but has become more important than ever. Teachers are the ones who inspire, guide, sow the seeds of personality, help students develop emotional intelligence, critical thinking skills and flexible adaptability - qualities that machines can never reach. As William Arthur Ward, a famous American writer and educator , once said, it is very appropriate to describe the "portrait" of teachers in the technology era: "An average teacher will only tell. A good teacher knows how to explain. An excellent teacher knows how to illustrate. A great teacher knows how to inspire".

The publication "Teachers' Heart in the AI Era" was first launched on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20 this year, as a gift that the Thanh Nien Newspaper staff wanted to show their gratitude to teachers.

Vietnamese teachers are now being given the opportunity to become "great teachers". In addition to the effective support of technology, education and technology have recently been the areas of primary concern to the Party and State, with many human-oriented policies being implemented synchronously and extensively. In particular, the Teachers' Law, the first law in Vietnam's history specifically for teachers, will take effect from the beginning of 2026. This is a commitment of the State and society to protect and enhance the status of teachers.
The articles and stories in this year’s Vietnam Teachers’ Day special issue of Thanh Nien Newspaper are the clearest evidence of the lasting values of true teachers despite the constant changes and fluctuations. The strong bond for those values is the love of teachers – the ones who inspire.
The publication " Teachers' Hearts in the AI Era" by Thanh Nien, first launched on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20 this year, is a gift that the staff of Thanh Nien Newspaper wishes to give to those who have been and are teachers - those who have inspired many generations of students to confidently step into life with knowledge and a compassionate heart.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Thanh Nien Newspaper staff wishes all teachers good health and happiness, and to continue to be a beacon of light guiding and lighting up the dreams of generations of Vietnamese students.
