On the morning of November 23, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) issued a notice announcing four support policies for students in the Central and South Central regions severely affected by consecutive storms No. 11, 12 and 13.
Specifically, full-time university students of courses 48, 49, 50, 51 with permanent residence in 5 provinces (Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong) will receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the final semester of 2025, deducted from the tuition fees for the first semester of 2026. For students of Course 48 who have graduated, the support will be transferred directly to their accounts.
Previously, in early October, these policies were applied to students in 19 provinces and cities that suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 10 (Bualoi) in the Northern and North Central regions, including: Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Hue, Son La, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi , Hai Phong City, Hung Yen, Da Nang City.
The announcement of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City stated that in order to reduce financial pressure and stabilize after the damage caused by natural disasters, the school continues to extend the deadline for paying tuition fees for the first semester of 2026 to January 25, 2026 (longer than the previous support policy), applicable to students in all 24 provinces.

At the same time, the school awarded 100 scholarships with a total value of more than 1.35 billion VND, of which 70 scholarships worth more than 14 million VND each were for students of courses 48, 49, 50 and 51 of regular university and the remaining 30 scholarships worth 12 million VND each for students of regular and first degree transfer programs, transfer programs - work and study.
In addition to the above support policies, students who have difficulty paying tuition fees can register to participate in the first semester 2026 learning credit programs implemented by the school in 2 forms: Tuition loan with OCB Oriental Commercial Joint Stock Bank, loan for up to 6 months with an interest rate of 7.5%/year with interest payment support policy from UEH; Installment payment via Sacombank credit card for students of all levels at UEH with 0% interest rate.

Meanwhile, in the face of severe storms and floods in recent days in the Central and Central Highlands provinces, a series of universities have urgently organized relief reception points and donated necessities to promptly support people who are suffering heavy losses.

From November 21, the Youth Union - Student Association of the University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) announced the organization of a relief reception point, in order to promptly deliver goods to the people of the Central provinces that are suffering heavy damage (reception time from November 22 to November 24). This morning (November 23), the relief working group consisting of nearly 30 officials, employees and students of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City officially set off for Khanh Hoa, one of the localities that suffered heavy damage due to floods. The vehicles carried essential gifts and the spirit of "mutual love, the rich help the poor" of all officials, employees and students of this University.
Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also announced the launch of a fundraising campaign to support essential goods and clothing to support people in flood-hit areas in the Central provinces.
