Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long received Mr. Raphael Huot, Vice President in charge of Asia, Vestas Wind Systems A/S Group

On November 19, 2025, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long received and worked with Mr. Raphael Huot, Vice President in charge of Asia of Vestas Wind Systems A/S Group - the world's leading enterprise in the field of wind energy.

Attending the meeting, on the Ministry of Industry and Trade side, there were representatives from the Department of Foreign Market Development, Electricity Authority. On the Danish side, there were Danish Ambassador Nicolai Prytz; Mr. Lasse Pedersen Hjortshø, Commercial Counselor; Mr. Raphael Huot, Vice President Asia, Vestas and a number of Vestas Group officials.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long highly appreciated Vestas' commitment to accompany Vietnam in the energy transition. The Deputy Minister emphasized that developing renewable energy is an important orientation to ensure energy security, realize sustainable development goals and attract high-quality investment.

Vestas representative shared the Group's operations in Vietnam, and affirmed that Vietnam is one of the most potential wind energy markets in Asia. Vestas expressed its desire to expand cooperation in the fields of project development, equipment supply, technical services and experience transfer in operating wind power systems; and said it is ready to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to support the implementation of the objectives of the adjusted Power Plan VIII.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the need to continue perfecting mechanisms and policies for renewable energy development; promoting public-private partnership models; ensuring the harmony of interests between the State - investors - people; as well as solutions to enhance energy security associated with cyber security in the context of the power grid increasingly depending on digital infrastructure. The Ministry of Industry and Trade welcomed Vestas' cooperation proposals and encouraged the Group to study opportunities to expand its supply chain, technical services and cooperate with domestic enterprises to improve production and industrial capacity in Vietnam.
