The Opening Ceremony of the XXIV Film Festival will officially take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 21 at the Reunification Hall (Independence Palace) in Ho Chi Minh City - a typical historical, cultural and architectural symbol of Ho Chi Minh City. The Opening Ceremony will be broadcast live on HTV and many local TV channels across the country, as well as on social networking sites of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities.
The Film Festival Opening Ceremony was held with the theme "Vietnamese Cinema - Sustainable Development and International Integration in the New Era", bringing many emotions about the magical flow - the flow of time extending the range of emotions.
The opening ceremony of this year's Vietnam Film Festival is led by a consistent theme, with a magical journey, opening with feelings of gratitude, reflecting the journey of 23 Film Festivals, where generations of artists have together built a solid foundation for the country's art. The special breakthrough journey honors the strong transformation of Vietnamese cinema in the new era, with works that are creative, diverse and influential. And finally, the Journey of Aspiration, conveying the desire for a cinema that develops sustainably and integrates deeply, igniting faith and inspiration for young artists on the path to conquering the next peaks of the seventh art.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong attended and directed the rehearsal, also attended by Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy.
In particular, at the Opening Ceremony, there will also be a Ceremony to receive the UNESCO Title "Ho Chi Minh City - Global Creative City of Cinema" Certificate.
The performances at the Opening Ceremony of the 24th Vietnam Film Festival were elaborately staged and highly artistic.
The Opening Ceremony was staged with a modern art stage, combining light, sound and large-scale cinema projection, contributing to increasing the experience, connecting the audience, creating a different and modern impression while still preserving the identity and depth of national culture, while spreading the image of a dynamic, creative Ho Chi Minh City, growing with the country.
The outdoor stage space is large, airy, open and harmonious.
The special art program at the Opening Ceremony of the 24th Vietnam Film Festival will feature many artists, singers, and actors who are widely admired by the public. The Organizing Committee will distribute 1,500 free invitations to the audience on the morning of November 21 at Lam Son Park (in front of the City Theater).
