Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh: Do not let students lack schools, classes, food, clothing, or teachers.

On the afternoon of August 22, at the Government headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and co-chaired the conference to review the 2024-2025 school year and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year.

The conference was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son. Also attending the conference were leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies.

The conference is connected online to provinces and centrally run cities.

The 2024-2025 school year has seen breakthroughs in the work of building institutions and policies in the field of education and training. The Ministry of Education and Training has advised the National Assembly to pass the Law on Teachers; Resolution on universalizing preschool education; Resolution on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, general education students, and students of general education programs (GDPT)...

In the 2024-2025 school year, the 2018 General Education Program will be implemented synchronously with all subjects and educational activities from grades 1 to 12 nationwide, completing the cycle of curriculum and textbook innovation. The quality of education at preschool and general education levels continues to be improved. Many provinces and cities have been recognized for achieving universal primary and secondary education and illiteracy eradication at a higher level.

Educational institutions have focused on innovating teaching methods and forms of organization towards diversifying learning activities, suitable for students' abilities. Teaching models based on topics, projects, STEM education, scientific and technical research activities... are organized in many forms to help students accumulate knowledge and know how to effectively apply knowledge to life, in accordance with the orientation of developing learners' qualities and abilities.

Education in ethnic minority and mountainous areas is given attention. The quality of key education continues to be affirmed. The team of teachers and managers continues to grow in quantity and improve in quality.

In Dak Lak, the Department of Education and Training has advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to issue policies on education and training development, promptly and effectively implementing the policies of the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Education and Training in the field of education. Thanks to that, the 2018 General Education Program has been implemented synchronously with the whole country; the quality of education continues to be improved at all levels; the rate of students passing the high school graduation exam in 2025 will reach 98.36%...

The theme for the 2025-2026 school year is: “Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development”. To achieve the above goals, the education sector continues to perfect institutions, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education; improve the quality of preschool education, general education, and continuing education; ensure fairness in access to education, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the results and achievements of the education sector in the 2024-2025 school year. At the same time, he noted that the sector needs to promote its advantages to promote education and training to develop further in the new school year 2025-2026.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also emphasized that the education sector needs to continue to improve institutions, streamline the apparatus, improve teachers' qualifications, and improve quality.
