Speaking at a congratulatory meeting for the team, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared his many emotions after watching the final match between the Vietnamese and Thai national teams on the evening of January 5th. “Yesterday’s match against Thailand was both nerve-wracking and anxious, at times frustrating. Then there were indescribable feelings when the opposing team’s defender scored an own goal due to pressure from the Vietnamese team,” the Prime Minister said. In particular, the Prime Minister mentioned the moment when player Hai Long scored a very emotional goal, with the ball slowly rolling into the net despite the opponent’s helplessness.
