According to the special correspondent of VNA, on September 7, on the occasion of attending the 43rd ASEAN Summit and related conferences in Jakarta (Indonesia), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a short meeting with Head of the Russian Federation Delegation, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov affirmed their importance to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, and their desire to continue developing relations in all aspects, especially continuing to increase delegation exchanges at all levels, promoting cooperation in all fields, especially continuing to cooperate to overcome the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic for sustainable development.
At the same time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said that the two countries need to effectively implement cooperation mechanisms and agreements, remove current difficulties and obstacles to expand trade, commerce, tourism, as well as promote cooperation in other fields.
At the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual concern, expressing their desire to continue contributing to maintaining peace, cooperation and development in Southeast Asia, Europe and the world./.
