Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrives in Switzerland to attend the 55th WEF Davos Conference

According to the Vietnam News Agency Special Envoy, after successfully concluding the official visit to the Czech Republic, at 10:05 p.m. on January 20 (local time), the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Zurich airport, starting a working trip to attend the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF Davos 55) and bilateral activities in Switzerland from January 20 to 23, 2025 at the invitation of WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.

The 55th WEF Davos Conference with the theme "Cooperation in the Smart Age" is attended by about 3,000 leaders of countries, international organizations and the world's leading corporations. This is an opportunity to discuss development orientations, priorities and opportunities that Vietnam can bring to partners. It is expected that during the 2 days in Davos, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will have a busy schedule. In particular, the Prime Minister will chair and attend many dialogue sessions, discussing many different fields and issues such as: Plenary discussion session on "ASEAN: Connecting to reach out"; Vietnam - WEF national strategy dialogue; special dialogue between WEF and the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will also chair seminars on: “Global Trade and Development in the Smart Era”, “High-tech Investment in Vietnam - Taking Off in the Smart Era”, “Vietnam in the Digital Era, the Future from Innovation and Technology”, “Digital Infrastructure - Green Energy: Rising in the Smart Era”…

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet with leaders of many countries, international organizations, and leaders of multinational corporations to promote relations between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations, attract investment, and promote trade.
Here, the Prime Minister will convey important messages about Vietnam's determination, aspirations and vision towards strategic development goals in the next 20 years. This is the first multilateral foreign activity in 2025 of a senior Vietnamese leader; continuing to affirm that Vietnam is a reliable partner, an active, responsible and potential member of the international community. Along with attending and participating in activities within the framework of the 55th WEF Davos, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also has bilateral activities in Switzerland to strengthen political trust and deepen the Vietnam - Switzerland relationship, promoting the bilateral relationship to a new height.
