Letter soliciting support for the Children's Protection Fund in 2026

In response to the 2026 Action Month for Children, and to mobilize resources for the care of children, Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and Chairman of the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children, sent a letter appealing for support for the Children's Protection Fund in 2026 to agencies, organizations, armed forces, businesses, and philanthropists.

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, and localities presented gifts to disadvantaged children who have excelled in their studies and training in Dong Hung commune.

The letter of appeal affirms that protecting, caring for, and educating children is the responsibility of the Party, the State, the family, the school, and the entire society. In recent years, the Provincial Party Committee,   People's Council,   The Provincial People's Committee always pays attention to and directs local Party committees, governments, departments, agencies, and organizations to do a good job of protecting, caring for, and educating children, creating conditions for children to develop comprehensively and     warrant   children are able to exercise their rights. In 2025, the Provincial Children's Protection Fund received over 2 billion VND in financial and in-kind support to care for thousands of disadvantaged children in the province through programs such as: supporting heart surgery and congenital defect surgery; awarding scholarships and school supplies; providing emergency support for children with serious illnesses, children involved in accidents or misfortunes; visiting and giving gifts during holidays and Tet; supporting nutrition and providing learning and recreational conditions for children.

Currently, in Hung Yen province, there are still many children with special circumstances and disadvantaged children who urgently need the attention, support, and assistance of agencies, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and the community to have better conditions for learning, healthcare, and comprehensive development. In response to the 2026 Action Month for Children with the theme: “Happy, Safe, and Steadfast Children in the Digital Age,” and with the spirit of mutual support and the beautiful humanitarian traditions of our nation, I call upon agencies, departments, organizations, schools, hospitals, businesses, officers and soldiers of the armed forces, socio- economic organizations, officials, civil servants, and individuals inside and outside the province to continue to accompany and participate in activities to protect and care for children through practical actions; contributing to the Children's Protection Fund with a minimum of one day's salary or one day's income; Support can be provided in kind through the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Children, holidays, or through sponsorships for programs implemented by the Provincial Children's Protection Fund.
