In the two confrontations at SEA V.League 2024, the Vietnamese women's team lost to Thailand.
In the history of previous matches, the Vietnamese girls have never had the joy of winning against the Thais.
Determined to change history, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has launched his strongest lineup with Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Thanh Thuy, Lam Oanh, Bich Thuy and Khanh Dang.
In set 1, the Vietnamese women's team started off enthusiastically, creating a lead before winning 25-23.
The Thai women's team also immediately responded when they won 25-19 in set 2.
The home girls were continuously behind in the beginning and middle of set 3, but the Vietnamese girls fought hard to win 25-21.
The match became tense when the home team won 25-17 in set 4 and brought the match into a deciding set 5.
In this set, the Thai girls showed their courage at the right time to win 15-11.
Losing 2-3 to Thailand, the Vietnamese women's team ended the SEA V.League 2025 as runner-up.
After stage 1, SEA V.League 2025 will continue with matches in stage 2 taking place from August 8 to 10 in Ninh Binh .
