On September 19, the Vietnam Copyright Protection Center, a unit under the Copyright Office - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - and TikTok Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote Vietnam's cultural industry through the power of digital technology and content creation.

Accordingly, the hashtag campaign #BanSacViet with the slogan “Vietnamese Identity – Shine Globally” aims to promote and spread the value of 12 Vietnamese cultural industries to the domestic and international community. Along with that, it is to strengthen the nation’s soft power, affirming Vietnamese identity in the context of international integration.
The hashtag campaign #BanSacViet also aims to build a creative community on TikTok as a bridge to promote cultural industry products. And support businesses, artists, and organizations to access policies, technology trends, and expand markets.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hoang, Director of the Copyright Office, said that in the context of globalization, culture is not only national identity but also the soft power of the nation.
“With 12 cultural industries, Vietnam possesses a rich and diverse treasure – from cinema, music , fashion, fine arts to new creative industries associated with technology. The problem is how to introduce, promote and spread those values effectively, modernly, in line with global trends,” Mr. Tran Hoang emphasized .
Therefore, the hashtag campaign #BanSacViet was born with the desire to build an authentic, attractive and close cultural communication channel for young people. On the TikTok platform, short videos will become a bridge to bring unique Vietnamese cultural industrial products to millions of users, not only domestically but also worldwide .
The #BanSacViet campaign focuses on 5 main contents including:
- Communication of cultural industry products: Introducing industries such as cinema, music, fine arts, fashion, games, cultural tourism, etc. Content in the form of short clips, easy to spread, exploiting the elements of characteristics - differences - integration.
- Creative stories: Record the creative journey of artisans, artists, entrepreneurs, and successes in the cultural industry.
- Applying new technology: Testing AI, VR, AR, blockchain to digitize, preserve and manage cultural industrial products. Producing technology experience clips to attract young people.
- Connecting the community: Launching the hashtag challenge #BanSacViet and #ProudVietnam, encouraging users to create videos to participate in the challenge, expressing their perspective on Vietnamese identity.
- Policy & Trend Updates: Short videos summarizing policies, legal regulations, international news and helping artists and businesses easily access official information.
The #BanSacViet campaign is expected to reach hundreds of millions of views, hundreds of thousands of creative videos, and most importantly, form a sustainable cultural creative community.
This will be the pioneering force, joining hands to bring Vietnamese cultural industrial products to the world, affirming the image of a country rich in identity, dynamic and integrated.
