On the morning of April 16 (March 8 of the lunar calendar), the Organizing Committee of Hoa Lu Festival 2024 held the Temple Opening Ceremony at King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple, King Le Dai Hanh Temple and offered incense at the Memorial House of King Ly Thai To (Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Special National Relic Site).
Attending the temple opening ceremony were comrade Tong Quang Thin, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Hoa Lu Festival 2024; leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports ; leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Hoa Lu district; representatives of departments, branches and organizations of the district; Truong Yen commune; seniors and representatives of local people.
The temple opening ceremony takes place one day before the opening of Hoa Lu Festival, including offering activities and sacrificial rituals; reporting to the gods and the First Emperors to open the Hoa Lu Festival in 2024.
At the temple opening ceremony, delegates offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the merits of our ancestors who unified the country, opening a period of independence, autonomy and prosperity for the nation; at the same time, they expressed their determination to promote the tradition of solidarity, joining hands and unanimity to build Ninh Binh increasingly rich and strong, making the homeland of the ancient capital of a thousand years of culture famous.
Hoa Lu Festival 2024 officially opened on the evening of April 17 and lasted until April 19 (from March 9 to March 11 of the lunar calendar) with a series of rich and unique ceremonial and festival activities imbued with the cultural identity of the land and people of the ancient capital. This is also an opportunity for Ninh Binh to promote its tourism potential and strengths to domestic and international friends, contributing to promoting socio -economic development.
