Thien Truong was the birthplace and capital of the Tran Dynasty, not only associated with the glorious victory of defeating the Yuan-Mongol invaders three times, but also a fertile land with many rich products from rivers and fields, creating unique dishes that are passed down to this day.

Nowadays , preserving and promoting the value of the Tran Temple Festival, including the ritual of carrying offerings of local products to the King and the Saint, is not only a spiritual and cultural activity but also shows the pride of generations of Vietnamese people in the golden history of the Vietnamese nation that the Tran Dynasty and the people of Dai Viet wrote ; it is a gratitude and appreciation to ancestors and previous generations.
At the ceremony, the elders and local people performed the traditional procession from the Hop Village Cultural House to Tran Temple, announced the ceremony and offered it to the King, Saint Tran. The traditional trays of food were typical products of the ancient Thien Truong land ; in which each tray was arranged with 9 main dishes symbolizing "cuu trung" (symbolizing 9 heavens, used to indicate the place where the King lived) . Among the traditional dishes were local products such as : Van Cu pho, a traditional pho dish recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, grilled fish , snails stewed with banana, ham, spring rolls, stewed meatballs, meatballs, stir-fried lotus root, Kenh village rolls, gai cake, etc .; especially the dish of crab patties combined with tangerine peel, a folk dish, not only a traditional culinary flavor of the homeland but also a historical mark symbolizing the wisdom, tolerance and solidarity that the Tran ancestors left for generations. The offering tray to the Saints was recreated by the Ninh Binh Culinary Culture Association and Vietnamese chefs.

Through the ceremony of offering food to the King and Saint Tran, it not only has the meaning of expressing gratitude to the ancestors who built and defended the country, but also is a meaningful activity that contributes to introducing the traditional culinary quintessence of the ancient Thien Truong land to a large number of people and tourists from all over the world who come to attend the Tran Temple Festival; promoting the intangible cultural values of the festival and promoting tourism development of the province.
