This information was given at the Press Conference on the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, which took place late afternoon on June 27, right after the last exam session ended.

There was cheating in the exam.

According to Major General Tran Dinh Chung, Deputy Director of the Internal Political Security Department (PA03), Ministry of Public Security, the investigation agency has conducted an investigation and determined that three candidates in two examination councils used their phones to take pictures of part of the exam. After that, these students posted images of the exam on an AI application asking for help solving them.

Another incident happened in Lam Dong province, a candidate placed a hidden camera in his sleeve, took a picture of the exam paper, sent it out, and then asked someone else to help him solve it.

Earlier, on the evening of June 26, social networks spread a number of links leading to the StudyX page - an AI application that solves exercises in education. Each link displays a question and these questions are similar to the questions in some Math questions of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

"Up to now, after the investigation and verification process by the authorities, these candidates have admitted their violations," Major General Tran Dinh Chung told the press.

Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) shared that as soon as social networks were stirred up by the leak of exam questions on an AI application, the National Examination Steering Committee quickly coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to clarify the situation.

Handle strictly and according to regulations

According to Professor Huynh Van Chuong, in fact, until 4 p.m. on June 26, that is, at the end of the Math exam, there was no leak of the exam. But by the evening of the same day, information and images of a problem in the Math exam appeared on an AI application.

"At that time, we clearly determined that if the above incident occurred, it must be handled in accordance with regulations and strictly," Professor Huynh Van Chuong informed.

Major General Tran Dinh Chung affirmed that this cheating incident occurred among a very small group of people and that there was no leaking of exam questions during the time the candidates were taking the exam. At the same time, it did not affect the security and safety of the exam.

"In the near future, we will consolidate records and documents to clarify further, consider the nature, level of violation and consequences for appropriate handling," Major General Tran Dinh Chung emphasized.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that the work of preventing high-tech fraud has been directed and thoroughly disseminated to the Examination Councils and Examination Sites, and to each officer participating in the examination. Accordingly, there is close coordination and active support from the functional units of the Ministry of Public Security and local Public Security.
