Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee surveys some infrastructure projects in Nghi Son Economic Zone

On the afternoon of March 26, comrade Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and comrades: Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected a number of traffic and drainage works in Nghi Son Economic Zone.

Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung and Deputy Provincial Party Secretaries surveyed the Project to complete the coastal road (the section connecting Highway 513 with the port areas south of Nghi Son Economic Zone).

Also participating in the working delegation were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Van Thi, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tien Hieu, Head of the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Provincial Industrial Parks; and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung and Deputy Provincial Party Secretaries surveyed the project to upgrade and expand North-South Road 1B and North-South Road 2 (from National Highway 1A in Xuan Lam Ward to the intersection with North-South Road 1B).

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation visited and surveyed the projects, including: Project to upgrade and expand the North-South Road 1B and North-South Road 2 (from National Highway 1A in Xuan Lam Ward to the intersection with North-South Road 1B); a group B project, with a length of more than 10 km, with a total investment of about 435 billion VND. Project to invest in drainage systems for industrial parks in the Northeast (Cau Cuu Canal and Nui Coc Canal); with a total length of about 2.5 km, of which Nui Coc Canal is about 0.8 km long, Cau Cuu Canal is about 1.7 km long, with a total investment of about 88 billion VND. Project to repair, renovate, and improve sidewalks and road surface 513, section from Km7+100 to Km11+820; with a total route length of about 4 km, with a total investment of about 70 billion VND.

Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung and Deputy Provincial Party Secretaries surveyed the Project to invest in drainage systems for industrial parks in the Northeast (Cau Cuu canal and Nui Coc canal).

The project to complete the construction of the coastal road (the section connecting Highway 513 with the southern port areas of Nghi Son Economic Zone) has a total investment of about 328 billion VND. The project to upgrade and expand the road from National Highway 1A to the industrial parks in the Southwest to Set mine - Nghi Son Economic Zone has a total investment of about 34 billion VND. The project to renovate and repair the road surface connecting the North-South expressway intersection and industrial zones 13 and 14 has a total investment of about 34 billion VND... These are projects using the additional revenue from the central budget in 2022 with the goal of reinvesting in Thanh Hoa province according to the provisions of Resolution No. 37/2021 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Thanh Hoa province.

After conducting a field survey, the Provincial Party Standing Committee had a working session with the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and the province's industrial parks to grasp emerging issues to focus on directing the implementation of projects.

Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung affirmed: Infrastructure investment in Nghi Son Economic Zone is very important, it will change the face of the urban area in a more modern, civilized, brighter - greener - cleaner direction; thereby contributing to improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people. In recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee have paid attention to leading and directing the implementation of many programs and projects on infrastructure investment for Nghi Son Economic Zone. Many traffic routes have been newly opened or renovated and upgraded, contributing to gradually synchronizing infrastructure in a modern direction, increasing competitiveness and attracting investment for Nghi Son Economic Zone.

The Provincial Party Secretary gave specific comments on each project; at the same time, he emphasized: Infrastructure investment projects from increased revenue sources according to the provisions of Resolution No. 37/2021 of the National Assembly are not only meaningful for the development of Nghi Son Economic Zone today, but also prepare for Nghi Son urban area in the future. Therefore, relevant levels and sectors need to be determined and resolute in implementing the projects that have been approved by the resolution. When implementing, depending on each specific project, there needs to be a survey and assessment to organize implementation in the spirit of thrift and efficiency.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and the province's industrial parks and the leaders of Nghi Son town need to further improve the creation of a green - clean - beautiful environment; thereby contributing to improving the quality of life for people and attracting investment to the area.
