( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of June 25, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense , Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, received General Khiev Saphat, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense , Deputy Director of the Department of Personnel, Cambodian Ministry of National Defense.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to consolidating and developing the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability with Cambodia. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia emphasized that military and defense cooperation between the two countries has continued to develop substantially and effectively in recent times, and is one of the important pillars of the Vietnam - Cambodia relationship. The agencies and units of the two countries' armies have coordinated extensively to implement the Protocol and annual cooperation plan between the two Ministries of National Defense, notably in the following areas: Delegation exchange; human resource training; border management and protection; propaganda about the Vietnam - Cambodia relationship; the search, collection, and repatriation of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia during the war; coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums...
