Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc was appointed to hold the position of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary.

(GLO)- At the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, on the morning of October 3, Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

At the Congress, comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission announced the Politburo 's decisions on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, the Politburo agreed to allow comrade Ho Quoc Dung to cease participating in the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, cease holding the position of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term and related positions so that the Central Committee can carry out the process of introducing and electing him to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

Pursuant to the Party Charter and the Party's regulations and statutes, the Politburo issued Decision No. 2353-QDNS/TW dated September 15, 2025 of the Politburo on appointing the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Decision No. 2306-QDNS/TW dated September 6, 2025 of the Politburo on appointing the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Decision No. 2406-QDNS/TW dated September 26, 2025 of the Politburo on mobilizing, assigning and appointing to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Specifically, 60 comrades were appointed to participate in the Provincial Party Executive Committee and 18 comrades to participate in the Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc was born on January 1, 1966; hometown is Cam Le ward, Da Nang city. Professional qualification is Bachelor of Military; advanced level of political theory.

From October 2014 to April 2016, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee, Commander of the Dak Nong Provincial Military Command, Military Region 5.

From May 2016 to May 2018, he was a member of the Party Committee of Military Region 5 and Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; from June 2018 to October 2018, he was a member of the Party Committee of Military Region 5 and Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 5.

From November 2018 to September 2020, he was a member of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Operations Department; Director of the Operations Department/General Staff.

From October 2020 to December 2024, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc was a member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Military Region 5; Commander of Military Region 5.

From January 2025 to present, he is a member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission; member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

The Politburo also appointed four Deputy Secretaries of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, including Rah Lan Chung, Pham Anh Tuan, Chau Ngoc Tuan and Nguyen Ngoc Luong.
