In terms of politics : Vietnam maintains independence, sovereignty , unity, territorial integrity and socialist orientation; maintains the leadership and ruling role of the Party, ensures the effective management role of the State, strongly promotes the mastery of the people; ensures the highest national interests on the basis of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, equality, cooperation and mutual benefit. The Vietnamese socialist rule of law state of the people, by the people and for the people led by the Party continues to be perfected; there is a clear division of labor, close coordination and effective control among state agencies in the exercise of legislative, executive and judicial powers under the supervision of the people.
Regarding the economy : The socialist-oriented market economy is developing strongly. The economic scale in 2023 will reach 433.7 billion USD, ranking 35th in the world, 5th in ASEAN, GDP per capita will reach 4,323 USD, 58 times higher than after three decades, the poverty rate will decrease from 58% in 1993 to 2.93% in 2023. The macro economy is basically stable, inflation is controlled, major balances of the economy are ensured, maintaining a relatively high economic growth compared to the region and the world. The economic structure will shift positively: digital economy and green economy will play an increasingly important role. The main sectors will grow, in which industry will recover positively, be an important driving force, leading to growth.
The fields of culture, society, education and training, science and technology, health care... have all developed remarkably, shaping the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards. Up to now, nearly 99% of Vietnamese adults can read and write, the number of university and college students has increased nearly 20 times, universal secondary education has been implemented since 2014... Social security policies, social welfare; ethnic policies, religious policies, policies for people with meritorious services, policies for overseas Vietnamese... have been implemented synchronously, achieving positive results. People's health is cared for; medical examination and treatment have access to many advanced techniques in the world... Ethnic, religious and belief policies are prioritized and focused on; Child care and protection, youth education, promoting the role of the elderly, gender equality, women's advancement, information and communication... are enhanced.
Regarding national defense, security, and protection of the Fatherland: The independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and national interests of the Fatherland continue to be firmly protected; closely and harmoniously linking economic, cultural, and social development with strengthening national defense and security; national defense and security potential is consolidated and enhanced in many aspects. Building a people's heart posture is associated with building a solid national defense posture and a solid people's security posture. The People's Army and the People's Police are built to be disciplined, elite, modern, and politically strong, and are the core forces to protect the Fatherland early and from afar. Forming a people's security posture, closely arranged from the central to the grassroots levels; building commune-level police, a force participating in protecting order and security, bringing the people's police close to the people to serve. Have appropriate countermeasures and solutions, promptly and effectively handle situations, avoid passivity and surprise, maintain a peaceful and stable environment for national construction and development.
Regarding foreign affairs: International integration is increasingly going into depth and effectiveness, achieving many important achievements, having strategic and long-term significance, creating a new, open foreign situation, favorable for security and development, enhancing the country's position, demonstrating a pioneering role in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, mobilizing external resources for national development. Upgrading and enhancing relations with key partners and major countries; successfully undertaking many international responsibilities; proposing many initiatives and solutions at important multilateral cooperation mechanisms. Vietnam has been demonstrating its role as a friend and reliable partner in the international community; having many initiatives and proposals, proactively and actively participating effectively in the activities of ASEAN, the United Nations and many other international organizations.
Overcoming difficulties to rise up with the whole country, after 50 years, the South has achieved many successes, the economic structure of the regions continues to shift positively; the cultural values of ethnic groups are preserved, inherited and promoted, a number of historical and cultural relics are restored and embellished; the education and training system receives investment attention, the healthcare network is strengthened; environmental protection, nature conservation, biodiversity and water resource protection are focused on, national defense and security are maintained, people's lives are increasingly improved, in which the GRDP growth rate of the regions of the South in recent years has reached a fairly high level...
