Sharing at the innovation forum in the healthcare sector on June 6, 2025, Mr. Darrell Oh, Chairman of Pharma Group, said that Vietnam's journey to prosperity requires healthy people and a healthy economy .
Mr. Darrell Oh expressed that Vietnam's major decisions are on the right track because Resolution 57 focuses on innovation for national development.
“We consider the digital preventive healthcare system as a key factor. We are building smart cities, but we need to combine it with healthcare data. Vietnam needs to establish healthcare data for its people by 2030. Vietnam aims to be in the top 3 based on R&D, including disease forecasting, drug storage, etc. Vietnam aims to cover over 80% of Telehealth for its people to ensure that no one is left behind. This is a good number,” said Mr. Darrell Oh.
Sharing at this forum, Dr. Philipp Rösler, former Minister of Health , former Vice Chancellor of Germany shared his personal life that, after being adopted by a German family, he pursued his dream of entering the medical profession and this is a career that he has always loved. He then took on the role of Minister of Health of Germany to ensure the health of the people of this country.

“Germany spends about 5% of GDP on non-prescription drugs (about 150 billion USD) for its people. So, will Vietnam's goal for people's health come true? We are living in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Everything happens quickly and if we do not grasp it quickly, we will lose the opportunity. The new era we are living in has more opportunities than before. In the present era, we do not need to have a modern chemical industry to develop the pharmaceutical industry, but we need to digitize it and FPT is doing this story. The future of the pharmaceutical industry depends on mastering AI. We can verify the impact of pharmaceuticals with just a computer simulation model. We can personalize better when combined with many different factors. We do not need to have a long history of medicine and pharmacy, but we can still take good care of people's health based on technology. This is Vietnam's opportunity in the near future” Philipp Rösler speak.
Dr. Phillipp Rosler continued to share that even developed countries such as Switzerland, the United States and Germany have not been moving quickly in the digital field. Even in Germany, it took 10 years to build patient data and it was only put into use in 2025 to better care for people's health. Now with AI simulation tools, research will be faster than before because there is no need to wait for enough research samples. Vietnam can take advantage of these research achievements with the support of technology to turn them into opportunities for Vietnam.
In his view, Mr. Philipp Rösler believes that Vietnam's Resolution 68 promotes the private economy and this is an opportunity for Vietnam. However, Innovation is not just about ideas but also about bringing them to market.

Also emphasizing the technological factor as a breakthrough for the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. David Duong, Director of Global Healthcare at Harvard Medical School, said that it is necessary to create conditions for the private sector to be able to apply AI and widely deploy it to the people.
Mr. Vu Anh Tu, FPT Technology Director, also affirmed that technology is solving many problems. Therefore, we need a leap in technology, AI and remote healthcare to take care of people's health. Technology will help a lot when combined with data from Project 06 and using AI to support data analysis. The combination of pharmaceutical companies and technology companies will bring great efficiency to society. To do this, FPT can combine with both startups and large corporations to solve important problems in Vietnam. In addition, it is necessary to cooperate with leading research institutes compared to the world. With this method, we can use Vietnamese and international resources to promote the medical field.
