In the early morning of July 9, rookie Joao Pedro shone with a double against his old team, helping Chelsea become the first team to reach the final.
This victory brought the Premier League club a bonus of up to 22.1 million pounds. Chelsea's total performance bonus from the beginning of the tournament has also reached the milestone of 33.5 million pounds. If the fees for the teams participating in this year's tournament are added, coach Enzo Maresca and his team have surpassed the 60 million pound mark in bonuses from FIFA.
If they continue their form and win the upcoming final against PSG or Real Madrid, Chelsea will receive nearly £30m in prize money, helping the team earn nearly £100m from the tournament in the US.
The bonus money has helped Chelsea to cover some of their summer transfer business. The Blues have brought in three new players, including Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, for a total fee of around £130 million.
On the other hand, Chelsea only earned nearly 20 million pounds when selling 3 players including Kepa Arrizabalaga, Bashir Humphreys and Marcus Bertinelli.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ final will take place in the early morning hours of July 14.
