Two cases of fraud were recently recorded by Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment.

The two scams recently recorded by the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment are cases of subjects impersonating school officials, lecturers, and employees to collect money for uniforms, class funds, etc. and sending fake notices of receiving scholarships to study abroad... in order to appropriate property.
In particular, after receiving a fake notice that they were on the list of international exchange scholarships in China, students were asked to provide a statement of billions of dong to prove their financial status. The school affirmed that it did not issue international exchange notices and grant such scholarships.

Previously, the University of Electricity also issued many warnings about the appearance of a number of fake documents with the University's signature and seal and fake documents of related units... along with false information about study abroad and student exchange programs.

Through the above incidents, authorities and universities recommend students, trainees and parents:

- Always verify information on official channels such as the school's website ...

- When you need to verify information or receive support, you need to contact the relevant authorities, class leaders or school hotline directly for answers.

- Absolutely do not transfer money or provide personal information to unofficial or unconfirmed individuals or accounts.

- Do not create groups or join private class groups created by strangers.

- Regularly monitor official information channels of authorities and press agencies to identify new tricks and improve self-protection skills in cyberspace.

- When detecting signs of fraud, forgery or illegal acts, it is necessary to promptly notify and denounce to the police and management units for verification and handling according to regulations.

- Proactively share and spread warning information to people around, contributing to preventing and stopping cybercrime in the community.
