According to the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health , they continue to receive information about individuals claiming to be from the Lam Dong Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department, requesting food production and business establishments to provide information, phone numbers, and documents related to inspection and supervision. These individuals also request businesses to make bank transfers, damaging the reputation and hindering Lam Dong health officials in carrying out their duties.
The Lam Dong Provincial Department of Health has issued a document to several departments, agencies, and units to coordinate the dissemination of information and resolution in accordance with the law to prevent the forgery of documents from the Department of Health. However, this situation has continued recently.
The fraudsters employ very sophisticated and professional tactics, exploiting the apprehension of businesses and the public to carry out their scams.

Specifically, the perpetrators impersonated officials from the Department of Health, sending forged documents announcing food safety inspections via social media, with the aim of defrauding and extorting money. These documents often resemble genuine documents but contain numerous errors and were not officially issued by the Department of Health.
Accordingly, citizens, and especially business owners, are advised not to comply with requests from these individuals, including providing personal information, bank account numbers, or OTP codes. Any notifications regarding food safety inspections must be sent directly from competent authorities, not through social media or personal phone numbers.
If there are any doubts about the authenticity of the information received, people should immediately contact the police or the Department of Health for assistance and resolution. Early reporting will help prevent fraudulent activities and ensure that those impersonating others are severely punished, protecting the rights of the people.
